What's in a Name?
Quite a lot it seems! Some interesting discussion this week on how the machinima community understands itself, or perhaps more accurately on how individual artists describe their work. It began in the comments at Shattered Keyboard and spilled over to Riot Films and The ZS Forum. The "what is machinima?" question re-surfaces regularly and somehow I feel glad that it proves so elusive!

Shattered Glass Releases new blog, and new promo!
Will we ever stop?NO
The awnser in obviously NO.
We have released a second, official OMFF 2008 promo for the awards.
This one was filmed in Moviestorm (the latest version), and in it, Me and Luke interview a very famous machinimator, Ross Scott. Don't think this is a good thing for Ross, watch it first, it's about a certain little interview. Now that being said, Ross was never really "Interviewed" considering he doesn't even talk in the video here, but it's the thought that counts right?
We've also released a new blog site which is,

Check it out to keep up to date on machinima news.

Gamers meet Byron
"What happens when you expose a bunch of hardcore video gamers to a 200-year-old poem? The reaction is very mixed. Strange Company’s latest machinima piece, When We Two Parted, is a visual interpretation of Byron’s famous poem of love, loss and regret. Hugh (the co-author of this blog and the director of the piece) released it onto YouTube recently, under the Machinima.com channel. The reaction and comments were not what he was expecting at all."
